What does a busy, can't-be-bothered-but-also-wants-to-look-good mom pack for a little Tulum getaway? Easy basics with a pop of exotic accessories.

For our January jaunt to Tulum, I packed these things and loved them the most:
Cream Beach Set - Simple, affordable, and cute. This suit runs a little small, order your normal size or size-up for a beachy, breezier feel.
Brown Bikini - I wanted the most basic, pull-on-and-pull-off brown bikini that would act as a base later for the cream beach set, and this (cheap!) little bikini did not disappoint!
LA Baseball Cap - Simple, neutral, adjustable, and a little slice of home.
Fringe Tote - I bought this bag at a market in Morocco, but linked a similar fringed beauty.
Quay Tortoise Shell Sunglasses - I order these in bulk.
Honestly, don't overpack for this trip. It's hot - a few bikinis and cover-ups that mix and match will cut it. And if you do want something special, there are boutiques all along the main strip that will outfit you with crochet, boho looks. A few of my favorite shops:
Tuluminati - Custom hats
Wanderlust Tulum - Dresses and boho accessories
Agua Bendidta Tulum - A refreshing mix of colorful dresses, flowy pants and bikinis
